Spring Trousers

I’m a lot about casual dressing and have been for the last number of years.  In fact, when I am going to an event that is a little dressier, I have been defaulting to one pair of black pants and trying to switch up the top.  I’ve really needed to expand my “smart casual”wardrobe choices…eeks, now I sound old!  Anyways, I also want to break out of just wearing black for more formal occasions.  I love that this spring, there are a ton of “new” neutrals out there…soft pinks, dusty roses, rusts, taupes.

I found these trousers at Zara, and I am LOVING them.  They are a little bit high waisted and are a roomier fit.  They are made of tencel but look like linen, so no crazy wrinkling and they drape nicely.  What’s even better is the price…$49.90.  I love them so much that I’m debating about going back and getting the khaki ones too (update..yes, I did!).  They would look great with a crisp white top and work well as a fall crossover piece paired with…yes, shocker…black.

These trousers work well with an embroidered top and a flowy vest.  I dressed them up with heeled sandals, but they would also look super cute dressed down with some runners.  And don’t be afraid to mix and match this spring’s neutrals.
