Baby Shower For a Little Man

We have a new handsome little man in our midst… Maverick arrived 3 weeks early and we are so glad he’s here…healthy and beautiful and well, perfect.

And what do excited aunties do? Well, we get planning! My sis in law, Jayme and i had a hoot putting together a little celebration to honour Mav and his mommy. We traded in powder blue and went for something more strong, cuz we like to think that Mav is going to be one powerful dude!  A “working man” shower it was. We loved many elements from this shower and used it as a jump off point, of course to add our own spin to it.

*i feel like i need to add a bit of a disclaimer…because the shower was held in the eve, it meant i had to take pics without having natural light..uggg…there’s a lot i still have to learn when it come to being a better photog!!!!

My hubby’s arsenal of ties made the perfect banner and backdrop for Mav’s name. We used chalkboard liner to make this customized banner…that can be re-used in future.

Oversized balloons with newspaper shreds and paper bow ties kept things masculine but charming for this sweet little babe.

Moustaches, ties, and bowties mingled with bibs and onesies this evening. Pam’s Cookies never disappoint and this eve was no exception..the best part? They taste as good as they look!

Office munchies perched atop a vintage suitcase..yep, that was my dad’s trunk back in the days where his mom called him “Donnie”

Chocolate mini cupcakes with cookies and cream buttercream icing (seriously..so good!) were topped with strapping confections. Cupcakes and choc dipped strawberries from Reddy Made Cakes
