Fun and Inexpensive Fall Housewares!

Recently I was in Superstore and found a bunch of fun and inexpensive things for the home.   I find that many discount retailers such as Superstore, Target and Walmart bring in seasonal collections for the home.   You can often pick out some real gems.   And the pieces are often so reasonable that you don’t need to feel badly if you only use them for a season or two.

Here are a few of my faves at Superstore right now….

I adore these trunk vases!! I bought two of the shorter ones, I think I need to get one more! The short ones are only $5 and the tall ones are $9. Not only do they look great with flowers, I may use them in fall with just some branches.

These porcelain fruit are so fun! Buy a couple and arrange them on a wood platter…an easy, minimalistic centerpiece in seconds. Each piece only $4.

We always use napkins at the dinner table, even when it’s just the 5 of us. Here’s a modern wood napkin holder for just $10.

You could also use this for cream and sugar, condiments, and more!

You can never have too many white serving pieces…

Love these bowls with the built-in handles. Brillliant! $6.99

This acacia wood salt and pepper pot is modern and sleek. $7.99

I’ve been a fan of this porcelain serving board from awhile…now it’s on sale for $2.44!! I’m tempted to pick up 10 of them. I’ve used mine for serving cheeses and here I used it for the marshmallows for a gourmet s’mores bar. These boards made perfect hostess gifts. Add a package of napkins and a ribbon…voila!
