Well if you can’t beat fall, join it. Right?? I always whine (have you ever wanted to throw a tantrum?!?) about putting away my summer clothes while everyone else is cheering the arrival of scarves and sweaters. I love them too…I just know that we will be wearing them for the next 6 months! But, the cooler and wetter temps have gotten their way and I’m full on into extra layers. And even I will admit there is something deliciously cozy about the season. As my hair has grown in, it’s been fun to bring out the hats again during this time of year..super grateful for the little length of hair that can now peep out from underneath. The hat hair, though, is a whole other topic… ha!!
If you follow me on instagram, you might have noticed just how much I’m into the shade of plum as of late. Love how it pairs with pretty much everything I have in my closet. Black, denim, white, grey….they all work with this rich hue. And so, in addition to wearing it more often than not on my nails, I added a sweater to the rotation. Scott often teases that when I get something new, I tend to kill it by overwearing it. So….working on the not “killing it” thing… it’s just such a great colour….
Oh and before I forget, the black leather lace ups that I’m wearing. Here’s the 411 on them. When we were in Italy this past summer, Lexi and I happened upon a clothing store that we both fell in love with. Cos ,a Swedish brand, is also the more upscale sister brand to H&M. I came home thinking that Vancouver needed it. Featuring simple and clean silhouettes, COS appeals to a wide audience (umm both Lexi and I loved it) with a price point that might make other retailers such as Aritizia take note. These black “derby” shoes were my souvenir from our trip…and…imagine how excited I was a couple weeks after when I saw a big “COS Coming Soon” poster in a Gastown storefront. YES! I think you will be smitten too…
