I LOVE Instagram…I love that you can quickly scroll through pics, get inspired by quotes and find out about new products and local grassroots business. Berkeley, Dylan and I connected with Twiga Clothing through Instagram and they made some personalized leggings for the girls to try and they LOVE them!
Twiga is headed up by Chuck Beatty, a former designer at Lululemon. His niece asked him to make her a pair of leggings. He personalized them for her and they were such a hit among her friends that Twiga was born. Chuck says, “Looking back, my interest in fashion was sparked from having an older sister. When I was little, she included me in weekly trips to the mall where I discovered my passion for clothing and design. My sister has helped shape my love for fashion and business giving a dream of ‘Made In Canada’ dance apparel wings to open and grow.”
All the leggings and shorts are made in Canada, which we LOVE! They are a very high quality…they are the perfect weight…not to heavy and not too thin. They are made from 4-way stretch, moisture wicking 90% nylon and 10% lycra spandex fabric. So, they are supportive and not see through. Berkeley says that they just fit and feel good. As a mom, I love that they will be easy to identify in the dance lost and found amongst a sea of black leggings!
Twiga makes primarily bottoms…leggings, shorts and crops. They are available in girls sizes 2-12 and womens XXS to XL. And you can personalize the waistband or just keep them plain. And if your girlies have an American girl, you can get a matching pair! That would have been a huge hit in our household a few years ago!
Twiga Clothing is giving away one pair of personalized leggings and a headband! Just follow @twigaclothing @dylan.ratzlaff @berkeley.ratzlaff and tag a friend on Instagram and you are entered. Contest ends at midnight on Sunday, March 8, 2015.
