Homemade Eggnog
Serves: 20 servings
  • 6 eggs*
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup apricot brandy
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup whipping cream, unwhipped
  • 4 cups club soda
  • Nutmeg, freshly grated
  1. Take ice cream out of freezer and let melt a bit.
  2. Beat the eggs vigorously with a whisk.
  3. Heat the honey just slightly and add to the eggs, whisk well. Watch that the eggs don’t cook.
  4. Add the milk, vanilla extract and apricot brandy. Mix well.
  5. Add the partially melted ice cream and stir.
  6. Top off with club soda.
  7. Add freshly grated nutmeg on top!
